London-based distributor Dogwoof has secured a number of deals for their current slate ahead of Monday’s MIPTV market in Cannes.

Hogir Horiri and Shinwar Kamal’s feature-length documentary The Deminer (pictured), which held its world premiere at IDFA where it took home the Special Jury Prize, has been acquired by ARTE GEIE (France and Germany), the BBC (UK), VPRO (Netherlands), VRT (Belgium), Moviestar+ (Spain) and VGTV (Norway).

Daniel McCabe’s This is Congo, which provides an unfiltered look into one of the longest conflicts in the world, has been sent to Starz in the U.S., Spain’s Movistar+, Belgium’s RTBF and Switzerland’s RTS. The film has also been sold to the BBC and Norway’s NRK.

Also on the move is the feature doc Antonio Lopez 1970: Sex, Fashion and Disco, James Crump’s intimate profile of seminal fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. The project has been picked up in Israel by ​Channel 8, New Zealand by Rialto, Poland by TVN, and CIS and Russia by Pioneer. Spain’s Movistar+ had previously acquired the film.

Jairus McLeary and Gethin Aldous’s The Work, which follows three men as they join a four-day group therapy session with inmates inside Folsom Prison, has been sold to New Zealand’s Rialto, Finland’s YLE and Belgium’s VRT.

Gustavo Salmeron’s Lots of Kids, a Monkey and a Castle has been taken in Finland via YLE and the Netherlands by VPRO. The film documents Spanish actor Gustavo Salmerón as he steps behind the camera to capture the winsome eccentricities of his extraordinary mother Julita, who had three dreams: having lots of kids, owning a monkey, and living in a castle.
